Trident Consulting is seeking a " Production Technician for one of our clients in " Indianapolis, IN".

Job Title: Production Technician Weekend Shift Location: Business Unit: LS-SC-POEMF3 Indianapolis Filling Operations Nights (01205213) Category: Supply Chain Work Schedule: Friday Sunday, 7:00 AM 7:30 PM Pay Rate: $32 $33/hour Position Type: Industrial (Full-time, 40 hours/week)

Position Overview

This position within the Manufacturing group requires extensive training and proven expertise in one or more core functional areas. Ideal candidates will have 2+ years of pharmaceutical manufacturing experience and the ability to operate independently while maintaining high safety and quality standards. The Production Technician will also oversee the work of other team members and be accountable for process results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and calibrate equipment for operation and testing per specifications.
  • Adjust filler and labeler equipment with proper parts and settings.
  • Assemble containers and components for the portioning process; verify accuracy of materials.
  • Perform housekeeping tasks including disinfection and autoclaving to maintain cleanliness.
  • Verify lot numbers, sign in bulk containers, and record data for traceability.
  • Order and stock necessary supplies to support operations.
  • Portion materials into containers under safe production conditions.
  • Operate automated labeling and bagging equipment; troubleshoot as necessary.
  • Update systems and maintain accurate records in SAP/mainframe.
  • Document tests, measurements, and calibrations during operations.
  • Participate in continuous improvement and process efficiency initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and GMP standards.
  • Maintain personal protective equipment and uphold aseptic practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Core Functional Expertise

Candidates must have demonstrated expertise in one or more of the following areas:

  • Clean Room / Aseptic Environment Operations
  • Equipment Preparation & Sanitization
  • Stopper Preparation
  • Inspection (Manual & Semi-Automated)
  • Packaging Operations
  • Sanitization of Classified Areas
  • Operation of Autoclaves

Qualifications

Education:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or HSED required.
  • College coursework in Chemistry or 6+ months of experience weighing chemicals preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years in pharmaceutical or related manufacturing.
  • Prior experience working in aseptic or cleanroom environments strongly preferred.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Basic math (including metric conversions).
  • Understanding of safety rules, GMP, SOPs, and UOPs.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to operate hand tools, pumps, air tools, scales, and material handling equipment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Legible handwriting and accurate documentation skills.

Physical & Environmental Requirements

  • Requires lifting items over 20 lbs.
  • Exposure to chemicals or substances requiring PPE.
  • No work with viruses, bacteria, or blood products.
  • No forklift operation or respirator use required.
