XTIVIA - Sr DevOps Engineer

This is a remote opportunity (within the United States).

This is a full-time role.

How you will make a difference

As an XTIVIA DevOps Engineer, you will provision, enhance, and maintain cloud and on-premise infrastructure for our clients on both small and large scale projects spanning a number of vertical markets. Responsibilities will include working with identity and access management, network architecture, application security, logging, monitoring, billing, and more. You will help to develop the optimal design for secure, scalable infrastructure for customers, including networking, encryption,

load balancer setup, caching, compute optimizations, continuous integration, and delivery pipelines. You'll leverage automation tools like Ansible, Terraform, and CloudFormation and platforms like Kubernetes, AWS EC2, and ECS to deploy and maintain cloud compute environments as well as on-premise infrastructure.

What you bring to your new team

  • Minimum of 7 years of DevOps experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working with the Kubernetes container orchestration platform
  • Experience with one or more major cloud platforms (AWS or Azure)
  • Familiarity with a continuous integration platform, such as Jenkins, Gitlab Actions, CircleCI, Azure DevOps, or AWS
  • CodeBuild, both setup/provisioning and normal usage
  • Experience using containerization platforms (i.e. Docker, containerd, ECS), both from an operational and delivery standpoint
  • Experience using one or more orchestration platforms; Terraform and/or Ansible are strongly preferred, but experience with Bicep, Puppet, Chef, Cloudformation, or Azure RM will be considered
  • Experience maintaining internet-facing production-grade applications in virtualized environments (cloud computing platforms and services)
  • Experience with distributed version control, (i.e. Git, Mercurial)
  • Experience managing internal or client-facing projects, troubleshooting clients' technical issues, and working with engineering, sales, and services teams and customers
  • Expertise in managing and working with Linux-based servers
  • Bachelor s Degree

How you add even MORE value

  • Experience writing software in one or more programming languages, such as Python, Go, JavaScript, Java, or Ruby
  • Familiarity with the internals of the Java virtual machine, including garbage collection details and thread dump analysis
  • Strong networking skills, including VPN configuration, troubleshooting networking issues, and comprehension of various network transport or communications protocols (i.e. TCP, HTTP, DNS)

This position has an expected salary range of $120,000 to $140,000.

You will also be eligible for the XTIVIA employee bonus plan.
