Position Title: Collibra Data Governance Specialist
Location: Burbank, CA
Type: Contract (6 month- potential of extension)
Overview:
We are seeking a Collibra Data Governance Specialist to lead and support data governance initiatives using the Collibra platform. This role will focus on designing, configuring, and managing Collibra Data Governance Center (DGC) workflows and integrations while collaborating with business and IT teams to ensure data quality, compliance, and effective governance practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collibra Platform Management:
- Configure and customize workflows in Collibra using BPMN.
- Manage and maintain Collibra s asset model, domains, communities, and responsibilities.
- Ensure effective use of Collibra to drive data governance and stewardship initiatives.
- Data Governance Implementation:
- Develop and enforce data governance policies, standards, and best practices.
- Implement and manage data catalogs and metadata management solutions using Collibra.
- Collaborate with data stewards to ensure data accountability and quality.
- Workflow Automation:
- Create and enhance workflows in Collibra using Groovy or JavaScript.
- Leverage Collibra Workflow Designer for automation and process optimization.
- API Integration and System Interoperability:
- Integrate Collibra with enterprise systems like ETL tools, BI platforms, and databases using Collibra REST APIs.
- Ensure seamless data flow and lineage tracking across systems.
- Data Quality and Management:
- Implement and monitor data quality rules using Collibra Data Quality tools.
- Collaborate with teams to improve data lineage, master data management (MDM), and overall data integrity.
- Database and SQL Expertise:
- Write and optimize SQL queries for data profiling and troubleshooting.
- Understand database structures and support data-related decision-making processes.
- Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:
- Work closely with data stewards, business users, and IT teams to align data governance initiatives with business goals.
- Communicate technical solutions effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- Proven experience with Collibra Data Governance Center (DGC).
- Proficiency in Groovy or JavaScript for workflow automation.
- Familiarity with Collibra REST APIs and integrations with tools like Informatica, Talend, or Tableau.
- Strong SQL and database management skills.
- Knowledge of ETL processes and MDM principles.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Collibra Data Quality tools.
- Certification in Collibra or related data governance platforms.
- Understanding of regulatory compliance frameworks like GDPR, CCPA, or similar.
Soft Skills:
- Strong collaboration and teamwork capabilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
- Aptitude for learning and applying new tools and technologies.
