Role: Sr. ASP. Net Developer

Location: Jackson, MS

We are looking for a talented and highly effective Sr. ASP. Net Developer to join our development and support team. We are currently supporting, enhancing and maintaining the statewide SNAP/TANF Eligibility Determination and
ancillary application registration system. The enhancements include use of latest technologies as needed to interface/integrate with other systems on different platforms and automation of current processes.
Required Skills/Experience
Technical Skill Set Requirement
  • Experience in Software Development and analysis, design, and development of applications primarily using ASP.NET
  • Experience with MVC Frameworks 5.0/4.0 and implementing controller actions and Views, Partial Views, Areas, Sections, Strongly Typed Views, and View Models with State Management, Security, caching features, and configuring optimizations
  • Experience with automated eligibility determination systems and ability to provide subject matter expertise on system architectures
  • Business Skill Set/Requirements Requirement
  • Ability to provide recommendations regarding enhancements to the systems and processes
  • Experience developing, maintaining, and updating documentation for procedures, policies, and processes
  • Experience training end users on software Technical/Business Skill Set Requirements
  • Working knowledge of SNAP and TANF economic assistance policies and procedures, and current state and federal mandates as implemented or similar to those in MAYS, the statewide eligibility determination system.
  • Experience interpreting, designing, and implementing federal and state mandates using Webservices, Microservices, SOAP & Restful WCF & Web API for systems such as Client Application Registration systems (CARS)
  • Weblogic experience helpful, etc.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English verbally and in writing.
  • Strong oral and written communication, and time management skills.
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to work independently but effectively with a team to accomplish team projects and solve technical problems.
  • Ability to conceive and/or develop creative solutions and possess strong problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with SCRUM /Iteration methodologies.
  • Experience with Jira Software.
  • Ability to work on many projects at one time.
  • Experience converting outdated technologies to new cutting-edge technologies.
