ResponsibilitiesTechnical Skills and Experience: The role requires a strong background in electrical and pneumatic systems, including the ability to measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble, and install electrical conduit. Experience in troubleshooting and repairing equipment, as well as performing preventive maintenance (PMs), is crucialOwnership and Responsibility: The candidate must take ownership of assigned equipment and plant areas, providing input on safety, quality, equipment condition, and building fabric. Following through on agreed actions, including parts procurement and scheduling, is essentialProject Assistance and Compliance: The role involves assisting with various projects, such as building fabric repair, equipment installations, and utility installations (electrical, steam, air, process piping). Performing all tasks while observing regulations, policies, and safety standards is vitalReceives instructions and duty assignments from maintenance supervisor or lead mechanicOwnership and responsibility for assigned equipment and plant areas; will submit input to lead mechanic on current or potential problems in the areas of Safety, Quality, Equipment condition/performance and Building FabricFollow through on agreed actions to include parts procurement and schedulingUnderstand the customer/supplier relationship, both internal and externalMeasure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install electrical conduit using measuring devices, hand tools, pipe threader and conduit benderInstall power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment following electrical code and blueprintsTroubleshoot malfunctioning apparatus and replace damaged material (wire, cables, etc.)Troubleshoot and repair equipment effectivelyPerform PM'sOn a regular basis, will submit input to supervisor or lead on current or potential problems on all building machinery and equipmentAssist with Projects to include Building Fabric repair / modifications, Equipment installations and, Utility installation (Electrical, Steam, Air, Process Piping)Perform all tasks observing regulations / policies and needs for Safety, Quality, GMP's, customer needs and workmanshipAdministration duties to include daily audits, parts orders and work orders; must be filled out accuratelyMust have own hand toolsContinued educationWork overtime as neededCross-training



ShiftHours: Monday to Friday, 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM

Journeyman card (Multi-craft Technician) preferredJourneyman card (Maintenance Technician) preferredHave attended and completed vocational and/or training courses in basic electricity and pneumatics, hydraulics, steam, pump repair and/or three years' experience working in a maintenance environment with electric and pneumaticsWorked in a food production environment using mechanical, electrical and pneumatic trouble-shooting skills; high speed packaging and processing equipment a plus!Familiar with electrical and pneumatic control logic, photo-cell operation, heat controllers, etc.Have an excellent attendance and work recordAbility to read machine prints and perform machine repairHands on experience in installation of piping systems (air, water, steam), industrial electrical installations and control circuitsExcellent mechanical aptitude to trouble shoot and repair related equipmentWelding experience a plus, especially in food process piping (ARCH-TIG-MIG)Must pass entrance assessmentARC flash training a plus
