Job Title: Senior Cloud AI Architect (On-Site)

Location: Atlanta, GA (Webcam/In-Person)
Job Type: Long-Term Contract

Note: Candidates must be local to the Metro Atlanta area and available for on-site work.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Cloud and AI Architect to design and implement secure, scalable, and ethical AI-driven solutions supporting digital transformation initiatives. This role combines deep expertise in cloud architecture (AWS preferred) with advanced skills in AI/ML, NLP, and data-driven system design. The ideal candidate will provide architectural leadership, mentor other architects, and collaborate with stakeholders across multiple projects to deliver innovative, compliant, and high-impact solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement enterprise-grade cloud and AI/ML architectures that meet performance, scalability, and security requirements.
  • Develop architecture blueprints and evaluate solutions across private, public, and hybrid cloud models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
  • Architect and deliver ethical AI/ML solutions, including model lifecycle management, monitoring, and bias mitigation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to modernize applications and integrate AI capabilities into enterprise systems.
  • Evaluate and recommend AI platforms, frameworks, and tools (e.g., AWS SageMaker, Azure ML, Google Vertex AI, PyTorch).
  • Ensure compliance with industry security and governance standards such as FedRAMP, FISMA, NIST AI RMF, and NIST 800-53.
  • Support enterprise digital transformation programs and provide mentorship to junior architects and development teams.
  • Prepare and maintain architectural documentation, roadmaps, and reports for ongoing initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • 10+ years of overall IT experience, with 5+ years in enterprise-level architecture and 5 8 years in hands-on technical application architecture, including system build and modernization.
  • Strong experience designing and programming applications within AWS environments.
  • Proven expertise in AI/ML solution design, including natural language processing, machine learning, and deep learning.
  • Solid understanding of cloud architecture principles, integration frameworks, and security best practices.

Preferred Qualifications

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect (required or must be willing to obtain).
  • Experience working with state, local, or public sector organizations.
  • Background in AI ethics, bias mitigation, and responsible AI frameworks.
  • Experience developing chatbots, generative AI (GenAI), and LLM (Large Language Model) solutions for enterprise or government use cases.
  • Familiarity with enterprise integration, data governance, and security compliance standards.
  • Certifications in Cloud Architecture or AI specialties (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
  • Prior involvement in federal or municipal digital transformation projects.
