Job Details

Our client is looking for a Junior Unified Communications Engineer to join their growing team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and contribute to the implementation and maintenance of unified communications systems. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of unified communications technologies and a strong desire to grow their skills in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the deployment, configuration, and management of unified communications systems, including VoIP, video conferencing, and instant messaging solutions.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for communication platforms and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers and other IT professionals to plan and implement system upgrades and enhancements.
  • Monitor system performance and health, ensuring optimal operation and minimal downtime.
  • Document system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Participate in on-call support rotations and provide after-hours support as needed.
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to contribute to the continuous improvement of communication systems.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Basic understanding of unified communications technologies such as VoIP, SIP, video conferencing, and instant messaging.
  • Familiarity with networking concepts and protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
  • Experience with Microsoft Teams, Cisco Unified Communications, or similar platforms is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Eagerness to learn and grow in the field of unified communications.
