Seeking a Customer/1 Billing Tester with an energy utility background the resides in the Syracuse, NY or Waltham, MA area.
Duration: contract position 6-12 months
Work locations: Syracuse, NY or Waltham, MA (hybrid/2-3 days onsite)
Key Responsibilities:
Design and execute test cases and test plans specifically for Customer/1, billing modules, including rates, meter reads, adjustments, and payment processing.
Verify complex utility rate calculations (e.g., Time-of-Use, tiered rates) to ensure regulatory compliance and revenue accuracy.
Identify, document, and track defects using a standard defect management tool (e.g., JIRA, Azure DevOps).
Collaborate with business analysts and development teams to understand requirements and functional changes.
Support UAT (User Acceptance Testing) activities and provide clarity on testing scope and results.
Required Qualifications:
3+ years of dedicated experience in QA testing within the energy utility sector.
Deep functional knowledge of the Customer/1 platform (or a similar Customer Information System/Billing System like SAP IS-U, Oracle CC&B, etc.).
Proven ability to work with large data sets and perform data validation across systems.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills: (Bonus Points)
Experience with SQL for backend data validation.
Familiarity with automation testing tools (e.g., Selenium, ReadyAPI).
Knowledge of meter-to-cash processes
