Social Worker (LCSW or LICSW)

A health services organization in Massachusetts is actively seeking a Social Worker (LCSW or LICSW) to join their growing team in Middlesex County.

About the Opportunity:

• Schedule: Monday to Friday


• Hours: 8:30am to 5pm

Responsibilities:

• Assess emotional factors related to terminal illness


• Assess environmental resources and obstacles to maintain safety


• Provide emotional support, short-term crisis intervention, and individual and/or family counseling when indicated


• Maintain contact with appropriate community agencies and services to promote interagency cooperation and to facilitate related referrals


• Evaluate patient/family response to psychosocial interventions


• Assess special needs related to cultural diversity, including communication, space, role of family members, and special traditions


• Perform comprehensive initial psychosocial assessments


• Assess the patient/family psychosocial status, potential for risk of suicide, and/or abuse or neglect


• Perform other duties, as needed

Qualifications:

• Master's Degree in Social Work


• MA Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and/or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW)


• Solid understanding of Hospice philosophy related to families in crisis and end-of-life issues


• Solid assessment skills

Desired Skills:

• 1+ year of Social Work experience


• Hospice background
