Role: Infrastructure Solutions Architect
Location: Lansing, MI (Hybrid 2 days onsite; Local candidates within 2 hours preferred)

The Infrastructure Solutions Architect is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-level data and information architecture to support statewide systems. The role includes developing data models, enforcing data standards, managing metadata, enabling data integration, and ensuring system design quality, security, and consistency. The position also supports project planning, reviews technical designs, leads data-focused initiatives, and ensures compliance with enterprise architecture and IT governance standards.

3+ years of Network Administration experience

5+ years of RHEL experience

5+ years of Windows Server experience

3+ years of SQL experience

5+ years experience creating, updating, and maintaining systems documentation

Experience with architecture tools such as Visio, Lucidchart, Draw.io

Experience administering/architecting IIS Web Server, Apache, WAF

Exposure to Application Architecture and familiarity with application servers such as WebLogic, WebSphere, JBoss
-
Experience architecting redundant and scalable database deployments for Oracle / MS SQL
-
Experience securing network, web applications, and databases

Experience with at least one programming language: C#, Java, Python, Bash, PowerShell

Experience with CI/CD tools such as Ansible, Jenkins, SonarQube, Artifactory, Veracode

Experience designing and architecting native or hybrid cloud environments on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
-
Exposure to IaaS / PaaS / SaaS setup and deployments

Knowledge of IaC tools: Terraform, CloudFormation

Experience architecting container orchestration platforms: Kubernetes, OpenShift

Cloudflare experience
