RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Tempe, AZ that is seeking a VP of Technology.
Summary:
The Vice President of Technology serves as a key technical and strategic leader responsible for defining and executing the company's product and technology vision. This role drives innovation and technical excellence across hardware, software, and platform development, ensuring delivery of scalable, market-driven solutions that strengthen the company's position in existing and emerging markets.
Duties:
* Establish and drive the long-term vision for product and technology development in alignment with business objectives and customer needs
* Define strategic priorities for integrated product platforms, guiding the roadmap from concept through commercialization
* Partner with cross-functional leadership to translate market insights into differentiated, high-impact solutions
* Drive disciplined investment in emerging technologies, balancing innovation with measurable business value
* Build and sustain strategic technology partnerships to enhance product capabilities and accelerate time to market
* Lead a culture of innovation that integrates customer insight and data-driven experimentation into the product lifecycle
* Identify and apply emerging technologies-across connectivity, embedded systems, software architecture, and intelligent devices-to strengthen product portfolios
* Promote a forward-looking R&D strategy focused on platform scalability, interoperability, and long-term technology evolution
* Provide executive oversight for end-to-end engineering execution across hardware, software, and systems integration
* Ensure robust design, validation, and release processes that drive quality, reliability, and speed to market
* Lead cross-regional engineering and technology initiatives across Asia and other key innovation centers
* Partner with business, operations, and program leadership to ensure alignment between technology strategy and market delivery
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science; master's degree preferred
* 10+ years of progressive experience in product creation, engineering, and technology management within connected devices, IoT, or advanced technology sectors
* Proven success in delivering complex, market-ready products integrating hardware, software, and connectivity technologies
* Deep technical expertise in embedded systems, wireless communication protocols (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Zigbee, RF), and system integration
* Strong understanding of product development lifecycle, compliance, and quality standards
* Demonstrated ability to define engineering strategy, drive technical execution, and foster innovation across global teams
* Exceptional leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence and align across executive functions
* Global mindset with experience leading initiatives across diverse technical and cultural environments
* Willingness to travel up to 30%
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
