Are you ready for a challenge that will keep you on the edge in the field of big data analytics? Are you a Software Engineer with experience in developing web-based data visualization tools? Can you identify, integrate, map, and monitor complex and disparate data flows? Imagine yourself working on top-level, critical mission sets alongside other seasoned professionals. Parsons is now hiring a Software Engineer with a passion for innovation and solving mission critical challenges to support our US Army Pacific (USARPAC) customer.

Specific Responsibilities:
  • Experience with both front-end and back-end coding languages, development frameworks and third-party libraries.
  • Coordinate across multi-functional teams to formulate, prototype, implement and fine-tune solutions.
  • Conduct performance tuning, testing, refactoring, usability, and automation activities; implement UI/UX requirements via responsive frameworks and design systems.
  • Review and write clean code, resolve and troubleshoot errors, and apply constant refactoring to address cumbersome or faulty code.
  • Identify and integrate various data sources (e.g. APIs, file systems, databases); develop and maintain data pipelines to automate the ingestion of source data.
  • Ensure data is stored securely and can be accessed efficiently by downstream applications and users.
  • Monitor, optimize, and document workflow and data storage for performance, reliability, and to ensure compliance with data governance policies.

Required Education/Experience:
  • 5+ years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; will consider experience in lieu of degree
  • 5+ years' experience working in a multi-skilled team environment collaborating on data integration
  • Proficiency in programming languages (e.g. Python, Java, Scala)
  • Understanding of AWS cloud platform and services
  • Familiarity with big data technologies (e.g. Apache Kafka, Apache Spark, or Hadoop)
  • Experience with data integration and ETL tools (e.g. Apache NiFi, Talend, or Informatica)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Able to convey complex issues in an easy-to-understand manner
  • Active DoD Secret-level security clearance

Preferred Experience:
  • Active DoD TS/SCI-level security clearance
  • Previous experience supporting an INDOPACOM or US Army customer
  • Experience supporting INDOPACOM intelligence and/or operations
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
  • Knowledge of servers operating systems; Windows, Linux, Distributed Computing, and cloud infrastructure

Salary Range:
$104,200.00 - $182,400.00
