IT Project Manager Energy Power distribution
Location: Rosemead, CA Hybrid/ Remote
Long term contract

Description:

Job duties may include: preventing power surges; ensuring that the right amount of energy is distributed; operating power-generating equipment; measuring power flow with gauges, meters, and charts; and maintaining generators, turbines, and other equipment...Education/Experience: Associate Degree in applicable profession, business, or technical discipline or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience; possesses seven to ten years of experience.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities/Workload:
Core Duties of a Project Manager a
Project Planning & Scheduling
Develop yearly, monthly, and weekly schedules for inspections and project milestones.
Coordinate field investigations and manage timelines using tools like SAP, MS Access, and Excel.
Tracking & Reporting
Monitor project progress, costs, and resource allocation.
Prepare and maintain logs, databases, and reports for management and regulatory compliance.
Stakeholder Coordination
Interface with internal teams, contractors, and external partners.
Participate in weekly and ad-hoc project status meetings to review in-flight projects.
Compliance & Safety
Ensure adherence to SCE safety protocols and regulatory
Support initiatives that improve safety and reliability of electrical systems.
Analysis & Problem-Solving
Perform cost/benefit and trend analysis.
Identify issues and recommend solutions for program challenges.
Required Skills/Attributes
Minimum Requirements:
Typically 5+ years of IT or other project management experience for senior PM roles.
At least 2 3 years in analytical or project coordination roles for entry-level PM or analyst positions.
Education:
Bachelor s degree preferred (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access, and SAP for data analysis and reporting.
Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies.
Soft Skills:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects under time constraints.
Leadership and team collaboration capabilities.
Desired Skills/Attributes
Project Management Certification (PMP) is often desirable.
