Extensive troubleshooting and resolution skills in at least, Windows Servers, Powershell, IBM-MQ, SQL, API Backend application, Rundeck, Microsoft DB SQL Replication, SSO, VIP, Load Balancer, IIS Job Summary Responsible for the design of comprehensive server application solutions to meet business needs. This includes working independently, within Information Services (IS), with the business side and as a consultant to project teams to assure appropriate and effective use of server applications in support of IS and business goals. Assures due consideration is given to the development of operational procedures, processes and support materials to assure desired change. Offers additional technology leadership opportunities in the form of coordination of collaborative technical activities (like system maintenance weekend or general after hours work), targeted technology research and development (R & D) of emerging system application technologies and expanded technical mentoring of junior staff. Essential Functions Builds solutions consistent with approved designs, tests and then delivers to Production. Develops technical approaches to solutions based upon available designs; recommends new designs as needed. Develops designs, supporting procedures and other materials to achieve required service levels. Integrates component designs in response to customer requirements.
Develops, maintains and communicates component inventories that identify targets for operational procedures.
Executes operational maintenance in according with established procedures. Assesses component builds for completeness, correctness, and suitability to purpose. Migrates component implementations to updated designs.
Resolves incidents in accordance with best practices and established procedures. Provides next-level support for systems and solutions. Works with vendor support to resolve issues. Assesses support incidents and initiates appropriate design changes, as needed. Identifies and recommends solutions for systemic production problems.
Works in compliance with approved standards and best practices.
Designs, develops and implements monitoring systems and protocols to capture service level outcomes. Provides resources, time and cost estimates for provisioning, operation and technical support. Provides feedback on the provisional, operational and support effectiveness of designs and team methodologies. Identifies and defines processes, artifacts and methods for provisional, operational and support proficiency, growth and mentoring. Assesses activity and outputs for conformance with defined provisional, operational and support proficiency, growth and mentoring. Conducts targeted technology and methodology R & D.
Mentors junior staff for provisional, operational and support technical proficiency and growth. Qualifications
Required Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
Preferred Master's Degree or equivalent
5 years of relevant experience in the field Required
7 years of relevant experience in the field Preferred
Full-time experience in an enterprise Information Services environment, and in a related infrastructure technology field (e.g. server, storage, network, telecom, database, security, etc.)

Experience in the following technical areas: troubleshooting Windows and/or Linux; server and software administration; Windows Server 2008R2 and Linux/UNIX, and creating batch, Visual Basic and other forms of scripting, and broad experience in Active Directory and Citrix Metaframe Preferred
Experience with vendor applications: Facets, Lawson, CCMS, TM1, Onbase, Websphere, Business Objects, Apache, Sitcore, Squid, Glassfish, Google search appliances and Impact Pro
