JOB DUTIES
Managers for Chicago, IL location. Manage and support junior colleagues on Analytics team. Collaborate with sales teams and executives, business unit leaders, and other matrixed business partners, both internal and external. Contribute to the revenue growth by generating analytic solutions and market insights for mid-market community lenders and telecom providers throughout the country. Maintain in-depth knowledge and understanding of core credit, and alternative credit data, credit policy, new account underwriting, credit-risk management, lending products and services. Design and develop statistical software to mine through large datasets and develop predictive scoring models. Generate insights, disseminate insights and use for basis of development of new products and services. Present data and analysis in succinct and compelling presentations for external customers, internal partners, and executive audiences. Technical Environment: statistical models (logistic, GBM/XGBoost scorecards, decision trees); R, HUE, Netezza, Unix command, Python, Hadoop, Hive, Pig, Spark, Dremio, Agile, Linux and PC platforms, data visualization software (Tableau); data query languages (SQL, R); segmentation analysis, logistic regression, performance analysis, generalized linear models with CGLM, tree models (Random forest, Gradient Boosted trees), GBM, Artificial Neural Network models.
Education and Experience Requirements
•\tMaster's degree in Statistics or Applied Mathematics or Actuarial Science or related Quantitative field plus 2 years of experience in job offered or in statistical analysis required.
•\tRequired Skills: extensive experience with credit policy and data, new account underwriting, credit-risk management; development of statistical models (logistic, GBM/XGBoost scorecards, decision trees) to predict risk or marketing outcomes; generating insights and ensuring dissemination, understanding; data query languages (SQL, R); Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Dremio and Pig on Linux and PC platforms; segmentation analysis, logistic regression, performance analysis, generalized linear models with CGLM, tree models (Random forest, Gradient Boosted trees), GBM, Artificial Neural Network models; delivering analytical insights and recommendations in succinct and compelling presentations for internal and external customers and an executive audience. 60% telecommuting permitted.
