The Data Platforms value-stream is accountable for enterprise data assets across the company including data & analytics platforms, data & analytics solutions governance, quality, recency, data interfaces, integration with external systems and advanced analytics capabilities. The Data Science, Process Excellence and Automation team is part of the Data Platforms value-stream and uses advanced technologies to automate business and IT processes. This can include anything from simple task automation to complex decision making. We empower our employees and services with digital superpowers.
We are seeking a seasoned and highly skilled Senior Developer with expertise in developing Robotic Process Automations using Automation Anywhere software, to join our Data Science, Process Excellence and Automation team. As a Senior Developer, you will play a pivotal role in developing automations to drive process optimization and increase efficiency for our clients. Your profound understanding of the software and robotic process automation methodologies will be crucial in delivering valuable automations and improving operational efficiency for our clients' business processes.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$117,600.00 - $176,400.00
This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).
The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Life insurance, Long-term disability leave, Dependent daycare spending account, Tuition assistance/reimbursement, and Simple Steps (global well-being program).

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
In this fast- paced collaborative role you will:
- Develop, document, and modify/configure systems specifications that conform to defined architecture standards.
- Be responsible and coach others for evaluating and designing, developing, or modifying automations for various internal functional areas.
- Recommend changes in defined architecture standards, defined development best practices, and system standards.
- Test automations.
- Document automations from a technical perspective in solution design documents (SDD).
- Provide effort estimates for new automations and enhancements to existing automations.
- Review colleagues code and coach colleagues to ensure standards and best practices are correctly followed.
- Ensure to remain up to date on latest technical automation related innovations.
- Have the end-to-end view of an automation and assess whether system changes affect existing automations.
- Pro-active suggest improvements.
- Analyze issues and suggest / build fixes.
- May be responsible for multiple projects simultaneously.
Minimum Qualifications:
Requires a Bachelors degree and minimum 7 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
Nice to Have:
- Previous Medtronic experience, or experience in the Med Tech industry.
- Continuous learner with a passion for exploring new technologies and process optimization methodologies.
- Experience working with databases like MS SQL Server and technologies like SAP, PowerBI, etc.
- 4+ years of experience in RPA development.
- Extensive hands-on experience using Automation Anywhere as automation software, with a proven track record of successful implementation projects.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy. Analyze complex process scenarios and offer innovative solutions.
- Effectively communicate technical findings and process insights to non-technical stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
- Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and deliver high quality results within defined timelines.
