Data Warehouse Consultant

Mastech Digital provides digital and mainstream technology staff as well as Digital Transformation Services for all American Corporations. Duration: 2+ Months Contract with possible extension

Location: Dallas, TX (Onsite)

Salary: $78.00/Hourly

Primary Skills: Data Warehouse

Role Description: The Data Warehouse Consultant must have 9+ years of experience. We are looking for a local candidate who is comfortable going onsite to Dallas, Texas location.

Required Experience and Skills:

- 5-9 years of experience in the implementation of Data warehouse/BI solutions.

- Expertise in SSIS, DW / BI and SQL.

- Knowledge of Scheduling Tools (Tivoli, Autosys etc.), Data Modeling, Project Management.

- Well versed with knowledge of Data warehousing concepts including: SCDs, star schema, hierarchy, aggregation.

- Should have expertise in ETL tools like SSIS, RDBMS (at least one) like Oracle, Teradata, SQL Server, DB2 and considerable experience in Testing which activities like creating system/ integration/performance test plan, performing system/integration/performance testing, defect tracking, root cause analysis of defects, support user acceptance testing (UAT) and facilitate UAT sign off, Deployments/Migrations across Environments.

- Should be well versed with Performance Tuning Techniques in SSIS and RDBMS.

Required Skills (Top two are absolutely must haves):

- 8+ years of overall software development experience is required primarily with Data warehouse applications.

- 3+ years of hands-on development experience in Cloud-based data warehouse platform ? primarily AWS Redshift.

- 3+ years of development experience with Python scripting experience.

- 2+ years of development experience with ETL tools (Informatica, Azure Data Factory, etc.).

Other desired attributes are:

- Experience with Moving Legacy DBs to Cloud.

- Strong knowledge and experience in data modeling & design with relational and NoSQL DBs.

- Demonstrated expertise in performance tuning in various DB environments.

- Experience building and scaling distributed, highly available systems in cloud env (Azure/AWS).

- Expertise in understanding complex business needs, analyzing, designing, and developing solutions.

- Communication and professional skills and the ability to establish relationships across business units.

Education: Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Information Technology or another related field or Equivalent
