Java Architect

Position: Java Architect Sr

Location: 1st Preference Dallas Hub

2nd Preference Pittsburgh, PA

Length of Assignment: 6 months

Shift Times/Preferred Time Zone

9-5 or 8-4 EST

Deployment 3 times yearly- Friday nights (will flex )

Is this position contract with the right to hire if a need becomes available? May be eligible for conversion after 1 yr based on performance-- Manager will only look at candidates that are open to converting to a full time employee. Client will not sponsor work visas if the decision is made to hire the contingent worker.

Reason for opening: The architect will direct work with SBA registration and loan disbursal which is a part of business lending initiative.

Impact/Function this role has within the client environment---The Architect will work with the existing team and will have the ability to curate enterprise grade microservices that will make the Business Lending ecosystem better. He/she will contribute to reduce manual effort by bringing in automation to reduce cost and effort.

Key responsibilities:

Collaborate with Application Architects / Dev Leads to determine functional and non-functional requirements for new software or applications.

Modify existing databases and database management systems or direct programmers and analysts to make changes.

Use tools and methodologies to create representations for functions and user interface of desired product.

Define all aspects of development from appropriate technology and workflow to coding standards.

Must have technical skills/experience (ask for alternative/tool/version):

Microservices Architecture – Spring Boot , GraphQl , Kafka

Application Security Specialty – Secure Coding protocols

Java 17

Automation – Jenkins, Ansible , Cucumber Script

Understanding of TOGAF

Flex Skills:

Use Draw.io/ MS Vizio to create architectural diagrams

Soft skills that would make a candidate successful in this role:

Education: Bach

Years of experience: 6-8
