Overview:
Our client a national health care insurance company is looking for a Java Developer to join their team. This person will have the exciting opportunity to work within their Java tech stack and within AWS, primarily focused on contributing to their IVR application, AWS Connect and Amazon LexBot.

This is a contract to hire position and is Hybrid, requiring the individual to sit onsite in Center City Philadelphia 3 days per week- T/W/Th.

Summary:

This Java Developer should be a mid to senior level engineer skilled in Java Spring Boot, Java 17 and strong API skills. They should This person should bring breadth in their experience in multiple and diverse environments and applications. It is helpful is this Java Developer has previous contributing towards the process of setting standards, policies strategy and best practice. This Java Developer will have the opportunity to influence wide or high-impact decisions and initiatives and has a theoretical background and understanding of the subject matter. This is a position for an individual capable of managing a diverse and complex suite of projects simultaneously. Ideally, this Java Developer should have experience managing cross-functional projects/project teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilizing current Java development techniques working within AWS Connect to implement IVA/IVR solutions
  • Develop APIs in Core Java using classes and methods to provide additional functionality
  • Work with other engineers and leadership in designing and implementing chat solutions using AWS services like Amazon Connect and Amazon Lex
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Actively participate and take initiative within the team and inflight projects
  • Professionally communicate with peers and members of other departments
  • Create the necessary documentation to identify bug sources, knowledge preservation and to follow quality standards

Requirements:

  • 4-7 years of IT experience. with hands on experience with the following technologies:
    • Strong experience with Java SpringBoot and Java 17 is a must have
    • Strong understanding of AWS services and architecture, including Lambda, S3, EC2, CloudFormation and CloudWatch.
    • Proficiency in programming languages such as Angular, JavaScript, or Java for customization and automation.
  • Solid understanding of networking, security, and data privacy principles in an AWS cloud environments.
  • Knowledge of monitoring tools such as Amazon CloudWatch for tracking and analyzing AWS Connect performance.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic work environment and manage multiple priorities.

Nice to haves:

  • Experience working with AWS Connect and implementing IVA/IVR solutions.
  • Experience with call center technologies, telephony infrastructure, and CRM systems will be a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues in AWS Connect and IVA/IVR systems.
