Five Rivers Analytics, an Akima company, is seeking a highly motivated, cleared TCC Field Service Technician to provide Mission Essential support under the Satellite Control Network Tracking Station Operations, Remote Site, and Mission Partner Support (STORMS) contract at Schriever SFB, CO. The STORMS contract maintains the requirement of operational performance through a consolidated service of operations and organizational maintenance for the SCN resulting in reduced Operations and Maintenance (O&M) costs. The STORMS contract requires employees to perform mission essential functions for high consequence DoD missions during contingency operations, natural disasters, extreme weather, pandemic, or other emergency situations. Responsibilities
- Carry out TCC duties by performing all contract specified organizational Operations, Maintenance, and Sustainment activities.
- Perform additional duties as assigned (Technical Orders, Safety, HAZMAT, TMDE, tools, vehicle monitor duties, Logistics and Supply).
- After initial instruction, or advice from your supervisor, perform operations and organizational level maintenance responsibilities for mission equipment identified in the STORMS contract for SSFB.
- Perform recurring Preventive Maintenance Inspections (PMIs) and Service on mission equipment identified in the STORMS contract independently.
- Perform user account management and system maintenance to include network back-ups, file restores, PMIs, and testing on mission equipment identified in the STORMS contract.
- Support all mission system maintenance to include system restoral, archiving data, and password administration.
- Comply with SSFB security directives and cipher lock/combo lock requirements, all safety requirement, and all HAZMAT and MSDS requirements and use and maintain PPE.
- Utilize standardized procedures, and applicable examples, perform Sys Admin tasks, unscheduled maintenance, troubleshooting and analysis for supported mission equipment.
- Assist with performing organizational level software and firmware maintenance.
- Assist with installation, checkout, and de-install of changes/updates to supported mission systems, with an understanding of previous operational failures and modifications.
- Provide support for Emergency/Urgent Depot Level Maintenance, as required
- Review your training records for accuracy and perform daily updates to the Master Task Listing (MTL).
- In order to respond to changing circumstances, applicants must be willing to remain flexible with their work schedule. Flexibility includes, but is not limited to, covering shifts for personnel who are absent and willingly adapting to a dynamic 24X7X365 work environment that may require extended shifts and/or base lock downs. The Colorado Springs work location for this opportunity is at Schriever Air Force Base.
Qualifications
- Must have a High School Diploma/GED and one (1) - two (2) years equivalent experience
- Possess one (1) - two (2) years of system administration experience.
- Active Secret Clearance with ability to obtain a TS/SCI security clearance.
- Current Security+ Certification or must be willing and able to obtain/maintain a Security+ certification, within three (3) months from your start date.
- Experience working with Mission Communication Segment equipment.
- Experience using Troubleshooting work-cards.
- Experience Supervising communications-electronics technicians.
- Computer and Network Component knowledge.
- Experience with communications-electronics equipment maintenance and operations.
- Experience with Air Force communication networks and mission control centers.
- Experience performing customer service for the Department of Defense.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Are capable of lifting 35lbs unassisted.
- Must be able to work in a team environment.
