Overview
The Data Associate forms the core of the data production process and perform any of a number of functions including data capture and data input, analysis, problem solving and quality assurance within a tightly scheduled production environment.
Responsibilities
Oversee data input from source documents and make adjustments as appropriate
Research and maintain data sources for insurance companies in various countries
Provide statistical analysis, data crosschecks and associated tasks as required for production
Perform organizational chart analyses in support of group consolidations
Process inter-company elimination entries as part of the group consolidation process
Maintain the financial database, including data calculations
Identify and resolve data inconsistencies
Assist with quality assurance tasks as necessary
Develop, verify and maintain process and procedures documentation
Assist with data and calculation definition and related system set up tasks
Communicate with internal and external parties, as directed, to resolve data or systems issues
Qualifications
Associates or Bachelor's degree or equivalent
1 to 2 years' experience
Skills
Strong attention to detail
Strong oral/written communications skills
Energetic responsibility seeker
Able to work independently without close supervision
Basic to intermediate accounting knowledge
Basic to intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office
Basic to intermediate knowledge of system documentation standards
For Data Associates working on the international team, Spanish language skills are a plus, but not required
