Job description
Company is helping an on-demand, autonomous ride-hailing company hire a Business Intelligence Engineer to empower teams and leadership with actionable metrics and visualizations that uphold safety and operational efficiency as the company moves toward commercial deployment.

In this role, you will collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders to design and implement BI solutions that provide visibility into safety clearance and milestone tracking.

The ideal candidate is a skilled BI professional with strong SQL and visualization expertise, experienced in building scalable data models and delivering actionable insights that drive business decisions.

As a Business Intelligence Engineer, you'll:
  • Partner with stakeholders to define requirements and deliver automated, actionable data solutions.
  • Design, build, and maintain scalable data models and ETL pipelines for high-quality data assets.
  • Collaborate with engineers and data scientists to establish accurate, consistent metrics.
  • Create and maintain impactful dashboards and visualizations that support decision-making.
  • Promote data literacy through self-service tools and training.
  • Champion best practices in reporting, including data integrity, scalability, validation, and documentation.
  • Translate business requirements into reliable data assets and support analytics under tight deadlines.
Ideal candidate profile
Bonus Qualifications:
  • Dbt Certification. Experience working with Airflow. Analytics Engineering background.
  • Fullstack BI Engineer, approx 40-50% frontend dashboard building, 50-60% backend datamart creation.
  • Someone who has not just worked on frontend dashboards but has created and maintained the datamarts that fuel them
  • Building self-serve dashboards is important as company with the stakeholders
  • Looker (not Looker Studio) is important and a prerequisite because it requires someone to actually know how to code, vs Tableau/BI Studio
Daily tasks
Responsibilities:
  • Partner with technical and non-technical stakeholders to identify requirements and deliver automated, actionable data solutions.
  • Design, build, and maintain scalable data models and ETL pipelines to ensure reliable, high-quality data assets.
  • Work closely with data engineers and data scientists to establish consistent, accurate metrics and data models.
  • Develop and maintain impactful visualizations and dashboards that enable data-driven decision-making.
  • Advance data literacy across the organization by developing self-service tools and training users.
  • Champion best practices in reporting and analytics, including data integrity, scalability, validation, and thorough documentation.
  • Translate business requirements into reliable data assets and support analytics under tight deadlines.
Required skills
Qualifications
  • 6+ Years of Experience
  • Background/knowledge in Computer Science, Applied Math, Engineering, Statistics, or relevant industry experience.
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Looker.
  • High proficiency in SQL and dbt.
  • Experience building dimensional models.
  • Strong collaboration skills with stakeholders to deliver impactful data solutions.
