IT Governance Analyst

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with development, review, and maintenance of IT policies and procedures to ensure regulatory and enterprise compliance.

• Support governance activities, including preparing meeting materials, documenting minutes, and tracking action items.

• Collect and analyze IT quality metrics and prepare reports to support continuous improvement.

• Draft clear communications, summaries, and governance reports.

• Facilitate communication and training related to IT policy and compliance protocols.

• Document and escalate suspected policy violations per established procedures.

• Ensure project requests align with IT governance frameworks and enterprise architecture standards.

• Prepare materials for governance board or steering committee reviews.

• Support documentation of funding justifications, risk assessments, and compliance reviews.

• Identify opportunities to improve project intake and evaluation processes.

• Develop templates, guidelines, and training materials for business stakeholders.

• Draft policies, procedures, and governance documentation for leadership approval.

• Review project submissions for completeness, feasibility, and alignment with IT strategy.

• Analyze business requirements and stakeholder concerns.

• Collaborate with enterprise architects and technical teams to validate solutions and integrations.

• Demonstrate leadership through strong communication and active participation in committees/workgroups.

• Facilitate stakeholder meetings to refine scope and requirements.

• Serve as liaison between business and IT teams.

• Act as primary IT contact for project requests and technology proposals.

• Assess technical feasibility, strategic alignment, and clarity of incoming requests.

• Engage architects, engineering, cybersecurity, and operations teams to validate solutions.

• Build strong cross-functional relationships and resolve issues collaboratively.

• Communicate updates, risks, and timeline changes to leadership.
