Job Description
Title: ServiceNow Developer
Location: Washington, D.C
Terms of Employment
- W2 Contract, 6 Months
- Location: Remote work mostly
- Primary place of performance is the Board’s Washington, D.C. Metro Campus, K-street facility.
- Onsite travel to other sites in the D.C. Metro area may be required.
- Work Schedule: 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM M-F (May be adjusted on a weekly basis to meet mission requirements).
Responsibilities
- Service Now Scoped Application Design and Development.
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to the organization for Service Now Application development.
- Maintain overall industry knowledge on latest trends, technology, etc.
- Consultation.
- Drive scope definition and requirements analysis for Now Platform workflows.
- Develop functional and technical design alternatives.
- Drive application build, product configuration, unit testing, and production deployment.
- Ensure solutions satisfy design objectives.
Required Skills & Experience
- BS degree in a computer-related field and 3 years of virtualization and operating system experience, or AA degree in computer science and 5 years of related experience.
- Proficiency in one or more scripting languages (Power Shell, Python, Bash,).
- Experience maintaining technical documentation using C4 Model nomenclature and diagrams or similar.
- Experience working in an economic research or academic environment is preferred.
- Minimum 4+ Years' experience of experience in JavaScript or related application development.
- Minimum of 3+ years developing scoped applications on the Service Now Platform.
- Minimum of 2+ years experience with App Engine Studio (AES).
- Strong training skills to empower Citizen Developers to learn platform concepts
- Accreditations/certifications in Service Now Associate or Professional Application Developer
- 2-5 years in a consulting position, delivering software implementation engagements
- Experience in multiple application architectures and supporting technologies
- Expertise with scripting languages such as PERL, JavaScript, Python, or Shell
- Web service proficiency (REST, SOAP) as well as XML and JSON knowledge
- ITIL knowledge with the ability to relate concepts to implementation strategies
- Excellent communications skills required – verbal with all levels of customer IT and business management as well as written with technical assessments and project-related reports
- Consultative skills for software service delivery to lead customers to improve their processes and organizational models
- Advanced Skills with ServiceNow Development APIs
- Web Service Integration (API Web Services) experience
- LDAP Integration experience
- Single Sign-on configuration and administration
- ITIL Certification
- Excellent understanding of cloud federation technologies such as SAML, OAuth, and OpenID Connect and how to apply these technologies to enterprise and public-facing applications.
- Experience with government cloud requirements for Fed RAMP and FISMA
- Knowledge of business process re-engineering principles and processes
- Active Public Trust Clearance or above.
