Essential Duties:

Salary: 46,300.00 - 57,900.00 - 69,500.00 USD Annual

The School of Electrical, Computer, & Energy Engineering is looking for a highly technical and highly motivated individual that requires little supervision. Typical duties often involve a high degree of complexity and may include any combination of the following: installing/troubleshooting OS's, software, hardware; and network devices, setting up/installing printers.

Performs a variety of activities necessary to provide desktop and software application support to end users to ensure proper and effective operations.

• Install, setup, configure and support Windows, Virtual Machines, AV equipment, tablets, printers and mobile devices
• Triage and work through ticketing system(s)
• Troubleshoot hardware
• Install and support wide spectrum of software
• Provide prompt courteous service to customers
• Maintain, update hardware and software inventory records
• Process access request
• Support space related projects on an as needed basis

Desired Qualifications:

Associate degree in Information Technology or closely related field and two (2) years' experience providing first level desktop diagnostic and trouble-shooting support OR any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

• Prior higher learning IT experience
• Basic knowledge of Windows command line and or PowerShell
• Windows troubleshooting skills
• Deploying computers in a traditional IT environment
• Provide end user Mac support
• Understanding of Active Directory groups, policies, and permissions
• Experience supporting customers in a windows-based AD environment
• Experience supporting networked files shares, computers, and printers

Working Environment:

Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, standing and walking; frequent physical demands may include stooping, bending, crawling under/around objects, reaching, lifting and pushing objects of varying weights up to 50 pounds; regularly required to work in cramped and enclosed areas and exposure to variations in temperature when deploying equipment.
