Data Storytelling and User Experience Specialist II (W2 Only)
Location: Philadelphia, PA (locals only) Hybrid setting is possible.

This role supports the Data Storytelling Center of Excellence (DSCOE). The specialist focuses on UX best practices, data storytelling, and template creation for dashboards, reports, and presentations. The job combines Power BI related UX work, teaching, and consulting with internal teams.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience improving the user experience of data products and can communicate design and storytelling concepts to non technical audiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Create UX optimized templates for dashboards, reports, and presentations using standard BI tools.
- Assist in teaching UX and data storytelling classes to analysts, clinicians, researchers, and operational staff.
- Support consultation sessions to improve the UX of self service analytics products.
- Apply accessibility standards and inclusive design.
- Collaborate with data teams and stakeholders to deliver clear, usable, visually effective data experiences.
Required Skills & Experience (Must Have)

- 2+ years UX experience with a portfolio.
- 3+ years data analysis experience.
- Experience working with business stakeholders and cross functional teams.
- Foundational knowledge of UX principles and data storytelling.
- Ability to translate business questions into thoughtful data visualizations (with guidance).
- Strong communication, critical thinking, problem solving, and collaboration skills.
- Intermediate SQL and R.
- Intermediate medical terminology (important for healthcare environment).
- Advanced Excel.
- Advanced BI tools: Power BI, QlikSense, Tableau, SAP BO, Posit Connect.
- Intermediate Microsoft 365 (Word, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently, manage time, stay organized, and maintain confidentiality.
Preferred Skills & Experience (Nice to Have)
Candidates with these will be prioritized:
- 5+ years data analysis experience.
- 1+ year experience in a healthcare environment.
- 1+ year hands on development in Power BI or other visualization tools.

- Required: High School Diploma / GED
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree
