Job Title: Business Analyst for SAP S/4 Implementation – Financial modules
3 positions:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented SAP Business Analyst to join our team for a SAP S/4HANA/Ariba Implementation project with strong domain knowledge of workstreams and SAP modules encompassing those workstreams.
This project has 5 work streams (Source-to-Pay (S2P), Order-to-Cash (O2C), Hire-to-Retire (H2R), Budget-to-Report (B2R), Acquire-to-Retire (A2R) along with workstream specific integrations and data migrations.).
We are currently looking to assign a single primary BA for each workstream, and they also act as a backup BA for another workstream. At present, we need 3 BAs for these workstreams (Source-to-Pay (S2P), Order-to-Cash (O2C), Acquire-to-Retire (A2R).
In this role, the Business analyst will be responsible for gathering and analyzing business requirements, high level context diagrams, data flows, and understanding and mapping business processes, as well as collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring that the SAP solution aligns with the business needs. This person should be able to collaborate with C-suite Stakeholders and be able to make presentations and status reports as needed.
The Business analyst role will also lead and play a pivotal role during the testing phase to ensure that the solution is fully functional, test scenarios and test scripts are created and meet business requirements, to ensure the system is ready for deployment. This role should be capable of providing detailed reporting as needed to present status of testing progress and identify/manage and track issues to ensure the completion of testing.

Key Responsibilities:
- Requirements Gathering:
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs and document functional and non-functional requirements for the SAP S/4HANA implementation in the financial modules.
- Conduct workshops, interviews, and surveys to gather detailed business requirements, create process maps, data flows and reporting requirements to ensure alignment with business goals and objectives.
- Analyze existing business processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement and suggest changes that SAP S/4HANA can address.
- Create detailed requirement documentation, including business process flows, use cases, and user stories.
- Identify user stories and process requirements in Requirements traceability matrix.
- Ensure requirements traceability in all workshops and discovery sessions to map identified business scenarios with the capabilities addressed in the Financial SAP modules.
- Testing & Validation:
- Work closely with the business users and SMEs to define test scenarios, test scripts, and acceptance criteria based on business requirements.
- Ensure forward and backward traceability to requirements, data conversion, integrations, and testing processes.
- Facilitate and lead the creation and execution of Unit, System Integration, User Acceptance, and Regression tests to ensure that the SAP system meets business needs and expectations.
- Support the validation of data migration and system integration efforts to ensure the solution operates as intended.
- Provide guidance during User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including training users on how to perform UAT and documenting feedback.
- Track and report on testing progress, ensuring timely completion and resolution of issues.
- Stakeholder Management & Communication:
- Serve as the liaison between business users, SAP implementation team, and external vendors.
- Communicate project status, issues, risks, and decisions to stakeholders.
- Conduct regular reviews of requirements and test results with key business stakeholders to ensure the project stays on track.
- Actively participate in project meetings to provide updates and escalate issues as needed.
- Lead meetings if necessary for Scrum calls, and other business engagements such as Testing, training, workshops.
- Documentation:
- Maintain up-to-date documentation for PMO artifacts, such as: Meeting notes, requirements, test cases, test results, and business process mappings.
- Ensure all documentation complies with company standards and audit requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- Demonstrable experience as SAP Business Analyst, specifically in financial projects, and with exposure to SAP S/4 HANA financial implementations.
- Solid understanding of financial business processes in various functional areas (e.g., Finance, Supply Chain, Procurement, HR, etc.).
- Experience with requirements gathering, including process mapping, creating use cases, and writing detailed requirements documents.
- Strong hand-on experience of System Testing and User acceptance Testing, including experience writing test scripts, managing test cycles, and tracking defects.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools is a plus.
- SAP Certification or relevant industry certifications are a plus.

- Working knowledge in SAP S/4 Financial modules is a plus.
- Skilled in developing stakeholder-focused project reports using Microsoft Excel, incorporating dynamic dashboards, advanced formulas, pivot tables, and conditional formatting to deliver clear insights on timelines, deliverables, resource utilization, and project health.
Work Environment:
- 100% onsite in San Antonio, TX (Mon-Friday) at 8-5 pm Business hours, in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with competing priorities.
