What will you be doing?

Your primary objective is to support Infrastructure Services through maintaining a high level of technical expertise in Advanced SD-WAN and related Security technologies with a focus in Cisco, Fortinet, and Palo Alto solutions, supporting delivery teams and engineers in the deployment of Services, and serving as an escalation point for delivery engineers. You will also be responsible for assisting with the introduction of new services, including development and documentation of deployment methodologies, and working with delivery teams to develop those capabilities in the field.

The Domain Architect may be assigned to lead customer-facing services projects of varying size and complexity that will often include the development of project deliverables (examples include white papers, plans, strategies, designs, assessments, and business case analyses). When the Domain Architect is designated the Solution / Technical leader, they will combine with PMO leadership to form the “Two in the Box” model, a vital part of WWTs approach to driving successful project outcomes.

Solutions / Technical Leadership Role:

• The Domain Architect understands all client scopes and objectives. They will be the one solution / technical voice facing the client externally and the escalation point internally for WWT employees, Partners, and Contractors.
• The Domain Architect will partner with the PMO counterpart to resolve Risks and Issues upon identification.
• The Domain Architect is accountable for resolving technical Risks and Issues in their project using their background and the array of resources available within WWT.
• The Domain Architect holds staff, contractors, and partners responsible for ensuring that The WWT best practices and templates are followed and delivered to the customer.
• The Domain Architect will review deployment documents, technical assessments, and other technical outputs to ensure a correct and consistent tone is delivered as defined by “One Voice.”
• The Domain Architect will manage their respective project as if it were their own stand-alone business and deliver a service that matches WWTs expectations, focusing on profitability and professionalism.

Pre Sales Support:

• Work with Customers, Technical Solutions Architects, Client Services Executives, and Account teams to identify customer’s desired business and technical outcomes.
• Identify required resource types, levels of effort, and work breakdown structures required to formulate high quality statements of work.
• Conduct project launch workshops and project scoping workshops prior to delivery engagement.
• Proper management, maintenance, and adherence to SLAs of assigned pre sales opportunities within SalesForce as defined in SFDC guidelines.

Project/Program Oversight and Support:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with delivery management, project management, and engineering teams nationally.
• Actively participate and support delivery engineers throughout all phases of a project including Project Launch Workshops, Kickoff calls, lessons learned, etc.
• Review client deliverables to identify opportunities to improve quality through training, mentoring, product offering improvement, and talent acquisition.
• Provide QA, escalation support, and mentoring for delivery teams.
• Development of implementation and backout plans.
• Interview delivery engineering candidates to determine proper technical and personality fit based on the project and customer’s specific needs.
• Ensure standards and delivery methodologies are being followed and appropriate internal and/or partner resources are available to meet the current and future demands of the project.

Post Sales Billable Delivery:

• Create High Level Design (HLD) and Low Level Design (LLD) documentation
• Create change/cut window Method of Procedure (MOP) documentation
• Preform advanced engineering services in support of engineering delivery team when necessary

Practice Development Support:

• Work with peers in delivery, practice and business development to assist in developing and delivering training and updates on new services.
• Assist in the practice development process by generating and maintaining documentation templates, processes, and collateral within the practice portal for use by delivery teams, Sales and Business Development by bridging the gap between Delivery teams and Practice teams.
• Monitor developing technologies and products and define the services that will be required to deliver those technologies and products. These services may include, but are not limited to, assessments, reference architectures, strategies, roadmaps and a variety of deployment services.

EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum five years (5) of industry experience in IT infrastructure architecture development and technology consulting, advisory, or professional services.
• 3-5 years experience as a Senior or Lead Architect or equivalent experience.

• Must have at least 7 years of experience designing, deploying, and implementing LAN/WAN networks in accordance with industry best practices
• Extensive large scale WAN experience required
• Extensive campus networking experience required
• Highly skilled in consulting with customers at all levels of the organization in both pre and post-sales
• Highly Skilled in at least one (1) of the following with more being preferred: SD-WAN (Cisco Viptela, VMware Velocloud, Aruba/Silverpeak Edgeconnect, Fortinet, Versa)
• Experience integrating SD-WAN into SASE/SSE and cloud deployments (Umbrella SIG, Zscaler, Prisma)
• Strong knowledge of IP communication and routing is required (ISIS, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP).
• Experience with Hybrid Cloud network deployments including AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform is a plus
• Working technical knowledge of network and security protocols (IPSEC VPN, SGT, SSL VPN, AAA, Dot1x, TustSec, NAT, QoS etc)
• Implementation experience with Cisco DNA Center and Software Defined Access
• Expertise in core Fortinet solutions, including Fortigate (NGFW and SDWAN), Fortimanager, and Fortianalyzer is preferred
• Ability to develop architect-level knowledge in Fortinet solutions
• Advanced knowledge of Palo Alto security products (Next Generation Firewalls, Panorama, Prisma) is preferred..
• Extensive knowledge of Firewall Design, Implementation and Migrations is preferred.
• Configuration management of networking devices using PnP/ZTP, automation tools (Cisco DNA-Center, vManage, Cisco Prime, ISE) and API scripting with Python
• Experience with network automation using Ansible, Terraform or other orchestration tools
• Knowledge or experience with Meraki is a plus
• Certifications in industry leading network products: Cisco (CCIE, CCNP), Arista, Aruba, VmWare, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Juniper, Zscaler, AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure
• Multi-vendor experience is required
• Cisco partner post sales consulting experience strongly preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills with the ability to work well in a collaborative environment.
• Able to conduct research into networking issues and products as required.
• Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.
• Able to effectively prioritize tasks in a high-pressure environment.
• Strong customer service orientation with proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Demonstrated technical consulting experience in one or more vertical sectors: government, public sector, higher education, finance, health care, technology, or other commercial.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Technology focused discipline
