Technical PMO Project Manager II – Hybrid Agile/Waterfall

REMOTE ANYWHERE USA

The Project Manager II provides support to the Engineering Program Management (EPM) team and is directly responsible for significant, cross functional technical projects, typically with large budgets and sizeable staff, focused on meeting project commitments, including communications with sponsors, stakeholders etc.

This position focuses on the day-to-day Engineering Project Management for the Insurance business unit which engages in a variety of activities.  The Engineering Project Manager will be managing and delivering initiatives from new major product launches on multi-million dollar business cases, significant compliance activities, and HPCC platform improvements. This highly skilled project management professional must be flexible and adapts to change based on the pace of our customer needs.  This position will be the face to the Business stakeholders for collaboration activities, scope management, budget/financial conversations, and overall delivery tracking using the triple constraint as a guide. The Engineering Project Manager is accountable to drive delivery using Agile, Waterfall, or Iterative methodology on custom software application development initiatives while supporting the Technology’s organization move towards DevOps. This position will work closely with the Business stakeholders at all levels of the organization ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

10+ years of IT PMO experience

 Bachelor’s degree in technology, finance, business, or equivalent experience required 

Project governance certification (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, etc.) a PLUS

Certified Scrum Master A PLUS

Agile and Waterfall Knowledge REQUIRED

Microsoft Project experience REQUIRED

Technical knowledge/acumen

Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) 

Process Improvement

Excellent presentation and writing skills are REQUIRED

Previous experience with Jira
