Senior Infrastructure Domain Architect (Storage)

Position Purpose:

Manages the enterprise-wide storage and data protection platforms and technologies. Assists with the creation and ongoing development of the storage and data protection program for the enterprise with focus on scalability, interoperability, and availability to meet the business outcomes.

• Works with vendors to POC (Proof of Concept) new products and enhance capability of existing platforms
• Facilitates capacity planning and perform analysis of the current landscape of storage workloads and storage pools. Define target/future state of storage landscape
• Identifies the data storage, management, protection and disaster recovery requirements of various applications and business systems in use across the core shared infrastructure
• Participates in disaster recovery infrastructure planning, building, and testing
• Supports mission critical projects, leading POCs, implementation and testing plans and working with internal customers on the determination of requirements
• Drives the deployment, maintenance, and support of all infrastructure in scope of the storage team
• Assists with planning, testing and provision of detailed steps to ensure successful completion of storage hardware and software upgrades and maintenance work
• Oversees capacity management of storage systems - both on premise and cloud resources
• Develops backup and disaster recovery policies and procedures as it pertains to the primary storage infrastructure
• Defines the road map for the design of storage solutions for on premise and cloud environment
• Communicates architecture decisions, roadblocks, and timelines to stakeholders
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Complies with all policies and standards

Education/Experience:

A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business field (e.g., statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science).
Requires 4 - 6 years of related experience.

Or equivalent experience acquired through accomplishments of applicable knowledge, duties, scope and skill reflective of the level of this position.

Technical Skills:

• One or more of the following skills are desired:
• Enterprise Storage: Dell PowerMax, Dell Isilon, NetApp ONTAP, SRDF, SnapMirror, Cisco MDS
• Cloud storage: AWS S3, AWS FSx for ONTAP, IAM, AWS EFS, AWS EBS, Azure Blob, Aviatrix
• Automation: Ansible, Terraform, CloudFormation, Lambda
• DevOps/Software Development: PowerShell, Python, JavaScript, Gitlab
• Other/General: VMware, SQL, IP networking
• Experience with Other: designing and implementing enterprise storage systems like EMC
• Experience with Other: data protection architectures, concepts, and solutions
• Experience with Other: cloud storage and backup technologies and approaches
• Knowledge of Information Systems; Information Technology Operations; Linux Operating System; Windows Operating System
• Knowledge of Other: VMware, SQL, IBM AIX, Solaris OS, IP networking

Pay Range: $98,900.00 - $183,100.00 per year

Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law. Total compensation may also include additional forms of incentives.
