Job Summary
The Dry Cask Manager is responsible for the planning and implementation of the dry cask loading operations across the Vistra Fleet. Serves as the single point of contact for the Fleet Dry Cask Storage (DCS) group.
Job Description
Key Accountabilities:
- Support Fleet Refueling Pre / Post outage activities as needed at the Manager's home plant
- Support Fleet Refueling Outages at all Vistra plants including travelling as needed.
- Participates in Fleet Refueling Training, Workshops, and OPI sessions as needed
- This position requires approximately 30-40% travel.
- Technical understanding of nuclear plant programs, processes and procedures.
- Clear and logical thinking in stressful situations involving complex technical problems; ability to manage a multi-discipline team of professionals; ability to advise, negotiate and resolve conflict; ability to effectively interface with peers; ability to interface with major contract organization to support both operating and outage activities.
- Ability to lead and motivate project managers.
- Accountable to ensure all quality requirements for procurement, implementation and testing is performed in accordance with quality standards
- Accountable to ensure scope of the project is controlled and if scope changes are required and are well documented and approved.
- Accountable for the capital and O&M project budgets; including providing routine status reports and forecast updates
- Participates in INPO and industry project management forums.
Education, Experience & Skill Requirements:
- Bachelor's - Engineering or related field (preferred) or High School or equivalent.
- 5-10 years of nuclear power plant supervisory/management experience.
- 3-5 years of Project Management experience.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (recommended).
