Entry-Level Transmission Line Engineer
Job Summary of Roles and Responsibilities

POWER Engineers is currently seeking a talented, entry level civil, mechanical, or electrical engineer to work in the Power Delivery Overhead Transmission Line Department in Austin, Texas. The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of transmission line design including the design of new lines, relocations, rebuilds, upgrades, storm hardening, and fiber optic additions.
Required Education/Experience
  • BSCE (Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering), BSEE (Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering), or BSME (Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering) degree from an ABET-accredited university.
  • The candidate must have a strong command of the English language with good written and oral communication skills to work effectively with internal team members and external client personnel.
  • Experience using the Microsoft Office software suite.
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. without the need for work sponsorship.
Desired Education/Experience
  • Ideal coursework includes
  • statics, mechanics of materials, structural analysis, concrete design, steel design, soil mechanics, foundation design, and surveying.
  • Previous engineering design or drafting work experience, especially if related to civil and/or structural engineering, is desirable
  • Engineer In Training (EIT) registration is desired
