Job Title: Software Test Analyst III

Location: Lansing, MI (Hybrid - 2 Days Onsite/Week)

Duration: Long-Term Contract

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Software Test Analyst III to join our Quality Assurance team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in manual testing, defect tracking, accessibility compliance (WCAG 2.1 AA), and vulnerability review across multiple applications. This role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders, technical teams, and project leads to ensure the delivery of high-quality, secure, and compliant software solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, document, and execute manual test cases based on system requirements.
  • Perform functional, integration, regression, and UAT testing.
  • Validate requirements to ensure full test coverage and traceability.
  • Conduct ADA accessibility testing per WCAG 2.1 AA standards.
  • Review and triage vulnerability scan findings, coordinating remediation.
  • Track and manage defects throughout lifecycle using standard QA tools.
  • Communicate test results, risks, and status updates to teams and stakeholders.
  • Participate in requirement reviews, sprint planning, and QA process walk-throughs.
  • Ensure testing adheres to security, compliance, and QA standards.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and documentation.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience writing and executing manual test cases.
  • 5+ years working with defect tracking tools (JIRA, Azure DevOps, HP ALM, etc.).
  • 5+ years validating test results and tracking QA metrics.
  • 5+ years communicating test/defect status with project teams and stakeholders.
  • 2+ years ADA / WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility testing experience.
  • 2+ years vulnerability scan review/triage experience.

Preferred Skills:

  • Testing experience with web and mobile applications.
  • Familiarity with security scanning & accessibility validation tools.
  • Understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
  • Strong communication, documentation, and multi-tasking skills.
