*Position is hybrid. It's primarily remote but they will need to be on-site first week for orientation and whenever in-person collaboration is needed*

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
The IT PM is responsible for leading new software development projects and major enhancements to existing systems, primarily on the ServiceNow platform. Scope of work may include integration with other applications across platforms, organizations, and business partners. This position is responsible for the following:

  1. Uses proven project and program management methods to plan, execute, and implement large IT initiatives.
  2. Builds and sustains stakeholder relationships that span IT, commonwealth agencies, and commonwealth business partners.
  3. Leverages agile SDLC framework to deliver continuous, incremental value.
  4. Supports leadership team with project governance via business case, project charter, and decision making based on trade-offs, change management, and issue & risk management.
  5. Presents to senior executives and facilitates large meetings as needed.
  6. Employs standard, well-structured work planning to define scope, activities, resource needs, quality, issues, risks, and acceptance criteria.
  7. Coordinates and conducts project review meetings with business stakeholders, BAs, SMEs, platform architects, and developers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Lead project teams and facilitate discussions.
  • Organize and prioritize project work.
  • Be the lead problem solver.
  • Operate effectively in agile project environment.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 10 years of IT project management experience
  • Minimum 3 years of agile software development leadership experience
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Project, Visio, and Office suite

PREFERENCES:

  • Scrum, PMP, ITIL, or SAFe certification
  • ServiceNow platform experience
