Position Description:
CGI is looking for a mid or senior level Task/Project Lead to support ESDIS Networks & Security Engineering on the SES III contract at the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) in Greenbelt, Maryland.
ESDIS, as a NASA project, implements NASA Information Technology (IT) security policies, guidelines, and best practices according to NPR/NPD's 2810, 7120, and 7150. The ESDIS project's migration into the rapidly changing commercial cloud environment under Earthdata Cloud requires a system engineering approach to review and implement NASA policies and industry best practice to ensure the resulting secure architecture meets both user requirements and appropriate policies.
The projects' information security program is mature with respect to processes and procedures. Process changes have occurred over the last several years which includes: a) Incorporating Cloud security measures; b) Information Security Continuous Monitoring (ISCM); c) Software defined infrastructure and software integration and automations that support points a and b.

Your future duties and responsibilities:
• Possesses strong initiative to decompose and complete high level objectives required by Federal/Agency level directives/policies or as outlined by the customer.
• Delegates work and assignments to team members through an agile methodology, ensuring security requirements are met and software products are delivered on schedule.
• Communicate the status of ongoing efforts to the customer regularly and stay on schedule to meet Federal and Agency security requirements.
• Fluent in both security standards and guidelines such as NIST and software development methodologies such as agile.
• Sets and tracks project milestones; manages and accounts for unforeseen delays, then realigns schedules and expectations as needed.
• Assist leadership with performance evaluations of project staff
• Summarizes information and trends as needed to prepare project status reports
• Provides input on project capacity required for ESDIS Data Cloud Program Increment (PI) planning and PI objectives
• Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides guidance on suitable technology in satisfying customer objective
• Collaborates with Systems Engineers, ISSO, ISO in maintaining the customers Systems Security plan.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Must have:
• Bachelor's Degree: Master's Degree preferred, in technology or engineering and/or equivalent work year experience.
• At least 3-5+ years of practical full-time experience of the requirements listed.
• Thorough understanding of information technology procedures and practices under NASA NPR/NPD's 2810, 7120, and 7150 listings.
• Thorough understanding NIST 800 series with emphasis on System Security Plans (SSP)
• Certifications such as (ISC)2, ISACA, SANS as well as AWS Solutions Architect are desired.
• Ability to motivate groups of people in a complex project environment in completing a project in a timely manner
• Proficient with, or able to quickly become proficient with, a range of general and specialized applications, software, and hardware used in the organization and the industry
• Excellent written and communication skills
• Demonstrated experience working successfully and proactively with a distributed team
• Some travel may be required
• U.S. Citizenship required
• Ability to obtain required National Agency Check (NAC) clearance

Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $100,000 - $145,000.
