Title: Senior Bioanalytical Scientist
Duration: 12 months contract
Location: Rahway, NJ (Travel up to 20% between Rahway, NJ and West Point, PA)
Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Senior Bioanalytical Scientist to join the Bioanalytical Group, Global Preclinical Development at Client's Rahway, NJ site. This individual will play a key role within a GLP-compliant bioanalytical laboratory, responsible for the development, validation, and implementation of ligand binding assays (LBAs) in support of preclinical and clinical projects. The position involves hands-on laboratory work, preparation of technical reports, and close collaboration with internal and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
" Independently develop, optimize, and troubleshoot ligand binding assay (LBA) methods to support various research projects with a focus on method quality, reproducibility, and efficiency.
" Author bioanalytical methods and assume responsibility for delegated bioanalytical project components.
" Proficiently perform and implement LBA for the analysis of biological samples in a GLP environment, including sample preparation, instrument setup, data processing, and interpretation.
" Resolve technical and analytical issues independently during method implementation.
" Establish LBA capability within the team including equipment purchasing, laboratory setup, and workflow design.
" Ensure all documentation is accurate, real-time, and compliant with GLP and departmental guidelines.
" Prepare reports for sample analysis and validation, compile data packages, and assemble regulatory submission documentation.
" Maintain compliance with all company SOPs, safety guidelines, and GLP training requirements.
" Meet short-term objectives and project timelines with minimal supervision.
" Collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners, including Drug Safety and Metabolism, Quality Assurance, and Program Management.
" Perform additional bioanalytical assignments as directed by management.
" Demonstrate strong teamwork, multi-tasking ability, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Qualifications
Minimum Educational Requirement:
" Ph.D. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related scientific discipline with at least 3 years of industrial experience, or
" Master's degree (M.S.) in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related scientific discipline with at least 7 years of industrial experience, preferably in a bioanalytical laboratory environment.
Required Experience and Skills:
" Hands-on experience developing, validating, and implementing ligand binding assays (LBA) under GLP conditions.
" Strong written and verbal communication skills.
" Experience working with Watson LIMS or other Laboratory Information Management Systems.
" Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Preferred Experience and Skills:
" Highly motivated individual with a demonstrated passion for learning and professional development.
" Experience in LC-MS/MS assay development and implementation.
Travel Requirements:
" Must be able to travel between Rahway, NJ and West Point, PA sites as needed.
" Up to 20% travel may be required.
