Job Details

Title; Vulnerability Engineer
Location: Erie . PA(Day 1 Onsite)

Key Responsibilities

Perform regular vulnerability scans using industry-standard tools (e.g., Nessus, Qualys, OpenVAS).
Analyze scan results, prioritize vulnerabilities based on risk, and coordinate remediation efforts.
Develop and maintain vulnerability management processes and documentation.
Collaborate with system owners and developers to implement security patches and fixes.
Monitor threat intelligence feeds and assess potential impact on organizational assets.
Generate detailed reports and dashboards for stakeholders on vulnerability status and trends.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal security policies.
Participate in incident response activities related to exploited vulnerabilities.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Security, or related field.
2 5 years of experience in vulnerability management or cybersecurity.
Strong knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux), networking, and cloud platforms.
Hands-on experience with vulnerability scanning tools and SIEM solutions.
Familiarity with CVSS scoring and risk assessment methodologies.
Understanding of secure coding practices and common vulnerabilities (OWASP Top 10).
Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Relevant certifications: CEH, CISSP, OSCP, or CompTIA Security+.
Experience with automation scripts for vulnerability remediation.
Knowledge of container security and DevSecOps practices.
