Job Description

You will work on state-of-the-art technology supporting and administering the network and IT infrastructure with the goal of providing maximum availability and consistent performance of the voice and data networks. You will be responsible for installing, maintaining and supporting LAN, WAN and VoIP infrastructures throughout the company integrating and resolving issues with network, VPN, firewall, Windows Servers/VMs and cloud services.
You will also have the opportunity to receive training on new products and technologies as they are brought into the organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build and install network appliances both On-Prem & Cloud.
- Network patching and software support
- Support Cisco and Palo Alto networking equipment and software. Cisco in house now and moving to Palo Alto in the future.
- Maintain and configure Cisco Meraki and ASA Firewalls • Required - Routers and Switches – Catalyst and Cisco Nexus series
- Install, configure and support Wireless access points and network
- Support DMZ, VLAN and specialty connections administration
- VPN / RPC-HTTPS configuration support
- Support Azure/AWS Networking and Systems/Environment management (AWS storage), future may also include Azure IaaS
- Configure and support Active Directory
- Support VoIP phones and help organization move to a cloud based system in the future
- Have the opportunity for additional training in Cybersecurity as the company increases their security and the team takes on additional responsibilities
- Configuration and administration of Internet filtering appliance such as Bluecoat cloud. You will have the opportunity for additional training.
BACKGROUND
- Experience with Cisco and Palo Alto networking equipment and software.
- Experience required with SD-WAN technologies
- Experience with either Cisco Meraki OR ASA Firewalls
- Experience supporting LAN/WAN infrastructure for US and international-based operations.
- Experience supporting VoIP phones (Avaya system preferred).
- Prefer experience in Azure/AWS Networking and Systems/Environment management (AWS storage). .
- Experience with Wireless networking, Aruba preferred
- Strong technical writing / documentation skills for networking infrastructure
- Solid experience as a Network Administrator supporting a Microsoft-centric environment (2019 Server, Win10 & Win11 Desktops)
- General scripting skills for command line executions
