Senior Java Engineer / eCommerce / Venice

An eCommerce company in Venice, CA is hiring a Senior Java Engineer to join their team of 5. In this role, you will work on the main customer-facing eCommerce website that gets thousands of hits per day. This company has been on a continuous growth path, looking to continue to scale. The initial infrastructure has been built, but they are continuing to add new features and expand their customer-facing website, so this role will be anywhere from 10-40% architecture and the rest would be hands on Java development. The main tech stack is Java 16, Spring Boot, Rest API, Microservices, Google Cloud Platform Serverless, and MySQL. It is mainly a backend role, but since its a small team, you may get to do a bit of frontend development as needed. This position will be hybrid with two to three days onsite in Venice, CA, so you must live in Los Angeles, CA to apply. Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of professional Java development Experience
• Spring Boot
• Rest API
• Microservices
• SQL/MySQL
• Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, and/or CI/CD
• Cloud experience with Google Cloud Platform/AWS/Azure

Desired Skills & Experience

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Bachelor's in Computer Science or related degree
• Ability to take project ownership
• Strong Architecture experience
