Network Python Automation engineer

Title: Networking SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test)

Duration: 18+ months contract

Location: Cupertino, CA

Key Qualification:

• You will have strong programming skills with Python
• Expert Python automation experience for network feature testing
• You will have experience developing scripts and tools
• You will have excellent communication skills
• You can work with multi-functional engineering teams

Desired Experience:

• You will have experience developing scripts and tools
• You have experience debugging problems in a highly concurrent environment
• You have familiarity with the TCP/IP suite of protocols (IPv4, IPv6)
• You have familiarity with network configuration protocols (e.g. DNS, DHCP, Bonjour, etc)
• You have a track record of shipping products
• You can stay focused and prioritize a heavy workload while achieving extraordinary quality
• Experience with system performance characterization is a plus.
• You are innovative, flexible, and results-oriented with a positive attitude

Additional experience:

• TCP/IP Iperf CAP: Consistency, Availability & Partition Tolerance
  HTTP background
  -QUIC protocol
  -Manual network testing experience
  - DNS: Domain name systems
  - ICMP: Internet Control Message Protocol
  - ARP: Address Resolution Protocol
  - DSCP: Differentiated Services Code Point
  -Understand the Layers of network security
  - SCAPY -Python library
  -Need to know how to Capture a packet and analyze a packet
  - Python Scripts that read Wire shark pcap file
  -The control plane and the data plane
  -NEED to know At the protocol level, not just definitions for example: IPV 4 vs IPV 6 the differences between the two of these
