Title: PCS Engineer
Regulatory Relevance: GxP
The Role: In this role you will be working with Sr. Automation Engineers on Moderna
manufacturing systems. This role will be a hands-on person actively involved in the
day-to-day manufacturing operations to improve and maintain different systems
(DCS, PLCs and standalone equipment). The Automation engineer will be exposed
to Current Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), manufacturing operations and
practices, and will support different platforms per ISA-95 (Level 0-3). The
Automation Engineer will collaborate with crossfunctional teams to ensure
business outcome achievement.
Key Responsibilities: Work on the implementation and maintenance of the digital
manufacturing systems Implement Batch control strategies for the Process
Control systems (PCS) Test Batch control logic Work with Programmable Logic
Controllers PLCs Integrate process equipment to PCS using industrial protocols
like Ethernet/IP, OPC UA, Modbus TCP, etc. Perform day to day activities following
cGMP and GAMP guidelines. Support Troubleshooting activities to PCS (DeltaV)
and PLCs (AB Rockwell/Siemens) Work cross functionally alongside
Manufacturing, Facilities, MS&T, Quality, IT Infrastructure, and other groups as
required to determine business requirements and set the strategic direction for PCS
capabilitiesRequired Background: A bachelor s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or
other Technical degree experience with PCS (DeltaV/Wonderware), PLCs (AB
Rockwell/Siemens) and Factorytalk asset center. A minimum 1+ years of experience
in the pharmaceutical or biotech industries Good interpersonal and
communication skills with ability to work collaboratively within cross functional
