Sr. Lead Maximo Business Analyst

Job Summary:

The Sr. Lead Maximo Business Analyst will play a key role in driving business transformation initiatives focused on the migration from IBM Maximo 7.6 to MAS 8/9. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Maximo functional modules, extensive experience in asset management domains, and a proven ability to bridge business needs with technical solutions.

This position requires strong analytical, documentation, and stakeholder management skills to ensure successful delivery of Maximo modernization projects within the Energy, Utilities, or Oil & Gas sectors.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 12+ years of experience as a Maximo Business Analyst or Functional Consultant.

  • Proven track record supporting or leading Maximo 7.6 to MAS 8/9 migration or upgrade projects.

  • Strong domain knowledge across Asset, Work, Inventory, and Procurement Management modules.

  • Proficiency in business process documentation and modeling tools (Visio, Lucidchart, etc.).

  • Skilled at translating business needs into detailed functional specifications for technical teams.

  • Experience in Energy, Utilities, Power Generation, or Oil & Gas industries preferred.

  • Excellent communication, analytical thinking, and stakeholder management abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

<>Business Analysis & Requirements Management</>
  • Lead workshops and discovery sessions with stakeholders to capture and validate business requirements.

  • Document existing Maximo 7.6 processes, configurations, and customizations.

  • Identify gaps and opportunities for optimization within MAS 9.

  • Develop BRDs, FDDs, Use Cases, and ensure alignment with IBM MAS 9 capabilities.

<>Migration Planning & Validation</>
  • Assist in assessing current Maximo environments and mapping to MAS 9 equivalents.

  • Define and document data migration requirements (master and transactional data).

  • Participate in UAT, functional validation, and requirement traceability activities.

  • Maintain and manage a Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM).

<>Stakeholder Engagement & Change Management</>
  • Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams.

  • Facilitate decision-making sessions and prioritize process changes.

  • Develop and support training, SOPs, and user adoption strategies for MAS 9 transition.

  • Ensure smooth organizational change management throughout the migration lifecycle.

<>Continuous Improvement & Governance</>
  • Recommend process improvements leveraging MAS 9 features (e.g., Work Centers, Manage, Monitor).

  • Support standardization and compliance efforts across multiple Maximo environments.

  • Participate in governance and strategic discussions to ensure long-term EAM alignment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • IBM Maximo or MAS certification(s).

  • Experience with Agile methodologies and enterprise transformation projects.

  • Exposure to Maximo integrations (GIS, ERP, CMMS systems).
