We are looking for an experienced data governance professional to assist with enhancing the adoption of our data catalog product.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Educate Data Stewards on their responsibilities and prepare reporting on their metadata curation status.
- Establish and maintain asset ownership process.
- Conduct discovery and testing on new features.
- Provide user support and monitor Teams Channel.
- Ensure adherence to data governance best practices.
- Design and implement process to enrich assets when ingested.
- Develop operations administrative user guide and services catalog.
- Curate and maintain glossary along with change management process.
- Develop measurements and process to monitor tool performance to identify any issues or areas for improvement.
- Partner with communications lead to develop training materials and conduct sessions.
- Define and execute controls to confirm completeness and accuracy of metadata.
- Develop daily health check process to confirm continuing data catalog functionality.
- Collaborate with Product Manager, Platform team, IT to ensure future integrations/connections are set up and onboard applications to Atlan based on roadmap priorities.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum five years experience in data governance or data analysis role.
- Proficient in implementing/managing data catalog products.
- Demonstrated understanding of metadata management, data governance, and lineage concepts.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and communication skills.
- Highly self-directed with the ability to multitask.
- Experience with Atlan preferred.
- Hospitality experience a plus.
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor s degree in information management, Data Science, or related field.
Rate: $80/hour (depends on experience level). This is a contract to hire position with candidates expected to work 40 hours/ week.
