Job Title: DC Operations Engineer - Networking Focus

Location: Rochdale, TX

Role Summary:

The DC Ops Engineer will be responsible for managing and maintaining data center operations with a strong focus on networking infrastructure. The role requires hands-on experience with DC technologies, network troubleshooting, and collaboration with IT teams to ensure high availability and performance of services.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate, monitor, and maintain data center infrastructure including servers, storage, and networking devices.
Implement and manage network configurations, including LAN/WAN, firewalls, switches, and routers.
Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues to ensure continuous uptime.
Coordinate with IT and application teams for deployment, patching, and upgrades.
Maintain documentation of network and DC operations, processes, and procedures.
Participate in incident response and disaster recovery activities.
Ensure compliance with security standards and best practices.

Required Skills & Competencies:

Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, and switching).
Hands-on experience with network hardware and data center equipment.
Knowledge of network monitoring tools and DC operations management.
Experience in troubleshooting and performance optimization in DC environments.
Familiarity with ITIL processes and change management.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in cloud integration or hybrid DC environments.
Certifications such as CCNA/CCNP, CompTIA Network+, or Data Center-related certifications.
Exposure to automation or scripting for operational tasks (PowerShell, Python, Ansible).
