Job Title: DC Operations Engineer - Networking Focus

Location: Rochdale, TX



Role Summary:

The DC Ops Engineer will be responsible for managing and maintaining data center operations with a strong focus on networking infrastructure. The role requires hands-on experience with DC technologies, network troubleshooting, and collaboration with IT teams to ensure high availability and performance of services.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate, monitor, and maintain data center infrastructure including servers, storage, and networking devices.

  • Implement and manage network configurations, including LAN/WAN, firewalls, switches, and routers.

  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues to ensure continuous uptime.

  • Coordinate with IT and application teams for deployment, patching, and upgrades.

  • Maintain documentation of network and DC operations, processes, and procedures.

  • Participate in incident response and disaster recovery activities.

  • Ensure compliance with security standards and best practices.




Required Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, and switching).

  • Hands-on experience with network hardware and data center equipment.

  • Knowledge of network monitoring tools and DC operations management.

  • Experience in troubleshooting and performance optimization in DC environments.

  • Familiarity with ITIL processes and change management.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.




Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in cloud integration or hybrid DC environments.

  • Certifications such as CCNA/CCNP, CompTIA Network+, or Data Center-related certifications.

  • Exposure to automation or scripting for operational tasks (PowerShell, Python, Ansible).
