Primary Purpose.

The Sr Network Engineer will provide expertise and leadership in the design and implementation of the technology stack within the Retail Business Services (RBS) Voice Platforms. This individual will work in a fast-paced and challenging environment leveraging forward-thinking technical engineering expertise in the services area of the enterprise.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Design, engineer, configure, implement, modify, maintain Unified Communication
  • Audio, Video technologies, Cisco Networking technologies, and Microsoft Teams.
  • Lead the efforts required to solve for, architect, implement and operate new UCsolutions and technologies into the enterprise, and ensure collaborative environment is highly available and functions as a mission critical service.
  • Drive process improvement, deliver efficiency, and provide specifications of existing UC architecture to which solutions are defined, managed, and delivered.
  • Assist with the planning, securing, and forecasting of Enterprise UC initiatives across the enterprise.
  • Define and create a well-organized quality UC system architectures that will promote reliability and ease of maintenance.
  • Lead the integration and interoperability of UC with multiple applications and platforms.
  • Provide support and assistance in UC fault isolation and performance management processes as requested.
  • Design and implement monitoring and reporting that exposes quality metrics necessary to measure the performance and effectiveness of Enterprise UC services, and to support decisions for continuous improvements.
  • Provide real-time assistance to UC Engineers and Technicians and troubleshootingefforts in an on-demand function.
  • Maintain and update skillset as it relates to what are coming trends in UC technologies and methods of delivering a future-focused collaborative environment.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive technical artifacts pertaining to the design, standards, implementation, assessment, and analysis of Enterprise UC services.
  • Provide training, webinars, whitepapers as necessary to customers and on demand
  • Develop and maintain UC architecture diagrams.
  • Contribute to documentation in the Knowledge Base, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), work instructions, and job aids.
  • Conduct knowledge transfer sessions with operations and engineering teams on new solutions, systems, applications, and tools.
QUALIFICATIONS

• 5 years Experience with Cisco Unified Communications solution
• Experience with ACD and Contact Center concepts
• Experience with IT process automation
• Experience creating new scripts, adding dialed numbers, interacting with admin scripts, CVP and major carriers
• Experience with ISE and proficient in validating, creating, and implementing script changes and the various components of a call flow
• Experience integrating Business Process Management systems with contact routing platforms
• Experience working with major carrier networks and Intelligent Routing Platforms
• Experience working with Cisco Voice Gateways and CUBE
• Experience working with MGoogle Cloud Platform, H.323 and SIP implementation within voice network
• Able to use third party tools in the support of the telephony systems. Including but not limited to-Xmedius, Informacast-E911, ISI Reporting, DNA, VM-Ware.
• Builds and configures phones and voice mail in support of moves, adds and changes.
• Key Skills: Communication, contact routing platforms, contact centers, IT process automation, ISE, voice platforms, telephony systems.

Preferred Qualification.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field
  • Vendor certifications preferably Cisco.
  • Good Knowledge about Retail Industry
  • Excellent speaking and writing skills
  • Ability to prioritize issues and work on multiple issues simultaneously.
