Engineering Program Manager, Product Integration

Tesla is seeking an exceptional Engineering Program Manager to join our Product Integration team. Reporting to the Integration Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving vehicle package and integration efforts with cross-functional engineering teams throughout the architecture, concept, detail design, validation, and product launch phases.

In this role, you will align engineering objectives with business needs, creating robust timelines, workflows, and plans that meet Tesla's ambitious targets. You will also develop metrics and reporting tools to ensure timely delivery of program milestones while driving continuous improvement in processes and methods.

Responsibilities

• Program Leadership: Manage vehicle integration deliverables at each stage of the vehicle program timeline, proactively identifying roadblocks, defining critical paths, and assessing risks and opportunities
• Data-Driven Insights: Develop metrics, dashboards, and presentations to provide clear and actionable updates to stakeholders
• Prototype Management: Oversee vehicle package buck design and build activities, including prototype part procurement from internal and external suppliers
• Trial Coordination: Drive vehicle package buck trials, ensuring seamless coordination of resources-including personnel, equipment, material, and processes
• Attribute Tracking: Monitor and support the tracking of vehicle-level attributes, including mass, to ensure alignment with program objectives
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance internal processes and methods, leveraging lessons learned to drive operational efficiency
• Configuration Management: Manage top-level BOM and CAD structure and configuration, supporting change management processes

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent experience
• Strong understanding of the engineering development process, with experience working on complex hardware programs. Able to deconstruct problems into actionable steps
• Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills, with a proven ability to leverage data and metrics for decision-making
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical and programmatic details to diverse audiences
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously across cross-functional teams, with the flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and frameworks, with the ability to adapt quickly to evolving requirements and prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment is an advantage
• Familiarity with PLM and CAD systems is a strong advantage
• Up to 3 years of project management experience in a hardware development environment is preferred

Expected Compensation

$88,000 - $186,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
