Front-end React Developer

Our client is a fast-paced startup with a long list of upcoming features, improvements,
new products and challenges on their roadmap.

They're seeking a Front-end developer with expertise in React and TypeScript. This is a direct hire position, and the client is unable to sponsor H1-B visas at this time.

Client is seeking a talented front-end developer fluent in React with Typescript and also
with MS Office Add-in experience to join our growing product development team. This role will
involve developing, planning, and researching new features, improving our existing codebase
and products, and working on both our MS Word Add-in, and our MS Outlook Add-in.  You’ll
work closely with the back-end and infrastructure teams to ensure that our entire technology
stack is optimized for security, performance, reliability and that our users’ needs and
expectations are met.  This job will likely focus more on functionality than UI, and we’d love to
see related Typescript or Python back end experience as well, as we are a small team working
together across functional areas.

You should:
Be comfortable working as part of a team of talented engineers
Have strong written and spoken communication skills in English and be able to clearly
communicate issues and solutions both in writing (including diagrams) and in staff meetings
Focus on maintainability, clear code, testing and scalability / performance
Be proficient in debugging and troubleshooting code
Have a mastery of secure coding practices including data protection and authentication, and be
able to participate in both internal and external security reviews
Be comfortable with project planning and be able to write and complete detailed work tickets
Be able to define and implement testing and QA plans
Have great time management skills

Responsibilities
Develop, plan, design and research new features for our existing products
Help plan and develop new products
Develop solutions to better support both modern and legacy versions of MS Office
Refactor existing code for stability, maintainability, and performance
Work on the front end for a new enterprise account management portal
Integrate new authentication methods including corporate SSO
Work with back end developers and DevOps and infrastructure engineers
Define and implement end-to-end testing and QA plans
Participate in project planning including writing and completing detailed work tickets
Create and maintain software documentation

Requirements and skills
Strong Typescript and React developer experience
Significant experience developing MS Office 365 Add-ins
Strong written and spoken communication skills in English
Teamwork skills

Additional skills we’d love to see
Back End API development experience especially in TypeScript and NestJS or Python
SSO and authentication integrations
Experience developing applications for regulated industries especially Legal Tech projects
Familiarity with Firebase, especially Firebase Functions and Firebase Auth
