Duration: Contract – 3 months to start with potential to extend
Overview: We seek a PMP Certified Technical Project Manager to drive software-centric projects supporting RF radio testing and compliance. This TPM partners with software engineering, RF, lab operations, and compliance teams to translate business requests into well-scoped initiatives, maintain Gantt-based schedules, set up and manage sprints, and ensure on-time, high-quality delivery aligned to internal lab milestones.
Responsibilities:
· Discovery & Scoping:
o Translate requests into epics, stories, and tasks.
o Define acceptance criteria and test-readiness gates.
o Confirm scope, dependencies, and success metrics.
· Planning & Scheduling:
o Build and own Gantt schedules in ClickUp.
o Map dependencies and critical path; manage slack.
o Maintain real-time dashboards; flag risks and slippage.
· Agile Execution:
o Set up and manage sprints; run daily scrums (stand-ups).
o Enforce sprint tasking and prioritization; track burndown.
o Drive incident/bug follow-ups; capture retro learnings.
· RF Test & Compliance Collaboration:
o Coordinate workflows with RF compliance and labs.
o Align software tasks with test plans and lab run sequences.
o Track documentation, approvals, and equipment readiness.
· Stakeholder Communication:
o Publish weekly status: schedule variance, risks, readiness.
o Lead change-control and decision reviews.
o Keep executives and cross-functional teams aligned.
· Process & Metrics:
o Standardize templates and operating rhythms.
o Monitor KPIs: predictability, defect leakage, MTTR.
o Maintain program trackers and risk registers.
Qualifications:
· PMP certification (PMI) — required.
· 5+ years managing technical software projects in hardware/embedded/RF contexts.
· Proficiency with PM software, ClickUp, for planning and dependency management.
· Proven ability to set up and manage sprints; strong prioritization, delegation, and organizational skills.
· Excellent communication; able to articulate trade-offs, risks, and decisions to engineering and leadership.
· Preferred/Experience: Agile delivery experience; familiarity with tools such as Jira or Trello (not required).
· Nice-to-have: Basic familiarity with Python and JavaScript to understand test tooling/automation concepts and data parsing; solid understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC). (This is not a coding role.)
