Job Details

Role: Quality Engineer

Duration: 10 + Months contract (with possible extension)

Location: Whiteland, IN

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Supply Chain

Required Experience, Knowledge & Skills:

  • Physical Requirements: Occasionally lift 32 lbs and support projects involving extensive walking or standing
  • Communication: Strong email and phone skills are essential for interacting with suppliers and vendors
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in Quality, within a manufacturing, supply chain, or warehousing environment

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Tracking and reporting on Defects Per Million Opportunities (DPMO)
  • Ensures accountability, customer focus, advanced product quality planning (APQP), and statistical foundations.
  • Managing the Customer Quality Scorecard
  • Driving problem-solving and corrective actions with the 3PL partner for quality issues
  • Leading containment activities for customer complaints
  • Collaborating with supplier quality and central quality teams
  • Facilitating continuous improvement and Six Sigma projects to reduce defects
  • Leading audits of processes and quality systems
