Job Title: Microsoft Teams Phone Administrator
100% Remote - Work from Home
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Microsoft Teams Phone Administrator to manage and optimize our Teams Phone environment. This role involves administration, configuration, troubleshooting, and ensuring compliance with security standards.

Key Responsibilities:
Administration & Configuration
  • Manage Teams Phone settings, policies, and user provisioning.
  • Configure call queues, auto attendants, voicemail, and emergency calling.
  • Implement Direct Routing and Operator Connect solutions.

Monitoring & Troubleshooting
  • Monitor call quality and system performance using Teams Admin Center and CQD.
  • Diagnose and resolve voice-related issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with carriers and vendors for escalations.

Security & Compliance
  • Apply security best practices for Teams Phone.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements (e.g., E911).

Integration & Optimization
  • Integrate Teams Phone with existing PBX or SIP trunking solutions.
  • Optimize call flows and user experience.

Documentation & Training
  • Maintain accurate documentation of configurations and processes.
  • Provide training and support to end-users and IT staff.

Required Skills:
  • Microsoft Teams Phone administration
  • Security best practices
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 and Teams architecture
  • Knowledge of SIP, PSTN, and telephony principles
  • Familiarity with QoS, networking fundamentals, and troubleshooting tools
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills

Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience:
    • 2+ years in Microsoft Teams administration or unified communications
    • Hands-on experience with Teams Phone, Direct Routing, and SBCs
  • Certifications (Preferred): Microsoft Teams Voice Engineer (MS-720) or similar

This is a Contract position based out of Pittsburgh, PA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $80.00/hr.
